Ambulatory phlebectomy is a method of removing varicose veins on the surface of the legs. It is done in the office under local anesthesia.

Sclerotherapy, or injection therapy, is a non-surgical procedure in which a solution is injected into the problem varicose veins or spider veins in order to cause its disappearance.

Laser treatment of leg veins - Recently the FDA approved a new and different type of laser that is finally a real advance in the treatment of certain leg veins. This new laser treatment is called Endo-Venous Laser Therapy (EVLT) and we are proud to have it available at our office.

Lawrence P. Kelly, MD is a Board Certified General Surgeon. He is past Chief of Surgery at Peconic Bay Medical Center and present Chief of Surgery at Eastern Long Island Hospital. He has been in private practice for over twenty years and also has been practicing phlebology for 15 years. Dr. Kelly is experienced in treating a full range of venous disorders including small and large vein disease and venous ulcers.
